There is also the famous John Keats riverside walk which takes you alongside the Wolvesey Castle Wall, and you could hop on a train and short high speed ride to the Isle of Wight. The beautiful New Forest is also easily accessible by train. With all this on your doorstep you can leave your car in the allocated space and explore on foot.
