Historic Reviews

For food and drink we liked The Cotley Inn, the Candlelight Inn. Also, as we are vegetarian we were delighted to find F.East just outside Ilminster and Tierra in Lyme Regis. Enjoyed our time at Fern Animal Sanctuary very much but visitors should note that this is a sanctuary/rescue not a zoo so you may not see all animals close up. The Cafe at Fern was great, best cheese scone ever. Quirky coffee shop in Lyme Regis called Amid Giants & Idols well worth a visit if you like really good coffee and unusual cakes.
If you don’t like narrow roads, animals, rural sights, sounds and aromas this probably isn’t the place for you. If you like peace, tranquility and quality a very good place to stay

Everything was fantastic. Thank you !

Visit Forde Abbey
Visit Lyme Regis (parking at the police station)

Clarks shopping village was lovely, Forde abbey and Wells and Lyme Regis as all dog friendly.

It suits a family of parents and two same sex children sharing the double bed or two single people but was a bit of compromise for privacy if any more than one couple, as the only shower room is next to the downstairs double bedroom, off the kitchen.
The lounge seating was a bit uncomfortable and limited in seats. There is a lot of dining seating though, so would be great in the warmer weather when the doors can be opened up.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Excellent helpful owners. Would recommend.
