As you approach the property along the sweeping driveway, guests will love the picturesque setting St. Elmo Lodge offers and it is fantastic for those seeking a rural escape. Laid out in reverse-level style living to take advantage of the views, head down 3 steps and enter via the ground floor where there are three bedrooms, each furnished with a zip and link super kingsize bed (can be setup with twin beds if requested). The first bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the other two share use of the family bathroom, fitted with a shower over bath. The stylish living room looks out to the countryside beyond and is well furnished with a cosy wood burner, a 60-inch smart TV with Freeview, Sky Plus, an Xbox, DVD player, a guitar, speaker and two large corner sofas, one of which can comfortably accommodate two guests. The kitchen/dining area is a brilliant space for preparing a meal and is well-equipped with sleek quartz surfaces and plenty of facilities, including a steam oven, coffee machine and a slow cooker. In between the kitchen and living room is a WC and a cupboard housing a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
The two-bedroom family suite on the first floor is accessed via the kitchen and is perfect for accommodating two adults and two children. The first bedroom has a super kingsize bed with an en-suite shower room, leading into the second bedroom which has a single bed with a pull-out trundle bed and an en-suite bathroom. Outside, guests will enjoy use of the enclosed garden with lawn and raised patio area, a lovely spot for relaxing in the sunshine and for al-fresco dining. Complete with outdoor seating, a 10-seater hot tub and an outdoor woodburning barbeque. The nearby hamlet of Woodland is conveniently located halfway between Exeter and Plymouth and the property is only a ten-minute drive from the charming town of Ashburton which is full of Georgian architecture, quirky local shops, restaurants and pubs. Ashburton is a splendid gateway to Dartmoor with its tors, rivers and rugged landscape but is also an ideal base from which to explore the whole region from moor to sea with fantastic scenery and great opportunities for walking, canoeing and fishing. Take a drive towards the coast and discover the pretty South Hams, with fabulous beaches, river estuaries and rolling hills surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Other attractions nearby include the English Riviera, Kent Caverns, Paignton Zoo, Plymouth Aquarium, Crealy Park and Woodlands Park.
