You\u0026rsquo;ll reach a speed of 40mph as you glide between cliff faces on this once in a lifetime zip wire ride. There\u0026rsquo;s no fuss, just the opportunity to turn up, jump and have an exhilarating time. Adrenalin coursing through your veins aside, the ride is also a lovely chance to see Cornwall\u0026rsquo;s views from a whole new angle, but given the fact that you\u0026rsquo;ll be whooshing high above a pool of water you\u0026rsquo;ll be forgiven for having other things on your mind.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eNow it\u0026rsquo;s time for the stats, the zip wire is 490m long, 50m high and reaches 40mph. The gardens are divided into the pond, the meadows, the Victorian border and the woodland edge- and each area tells a story through plants and flowers.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe bat cave is a rare chance to get up close to rare lesser horseshoe bats, and these mysterious creatures have lived in this spot for more than 25 years as they love its warmth. The play area enables the grown ups to sit back and admire the views while their own little monkeys enjoy some play time, and the Tree Top cafe serves up local produce every day. You\u0026rsquo;ll pass through a picturesque wooded valley, and the first point of interest you\u0026rsquo;ll encounter is the Dragonfly Pond. If you walk this route during summer you\u0026rsquo;ll be treated to the sight of the many dragonflies that call the pond home (although you\u0026rsquo;re unlikely to see any if you walk the route out of season).\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eYou\u0026rsquo;ll pass many a bench along this walk, so there\u0026rsquo;s plenty of opportunity to take a seat for awhile and just enjoy the scenery before walking on. When the tide\u0026rsquo;s out this is a long sand and shingle beach with plenty of space and the kind of rock pools that have the kids running from one to another seeing what they can find.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eBacked by Battern Cliffs, Downderry Beach is a picturesque place for a wander close to the sea, and the good news is it\u0026rsquo;s usually relatively quiet so it\u0026rsquo;s a peaceful one too. Be careful if you complete this walk as there is a risk of being cut off by the tide as you go.
