The house is Plymouth\u0026rsquo;s best example of a surviving 16\u003csup\u003eth\u003c/sup\u003e / 17\u003csup\u003eth\u003c/sup\u003e century building and some of its most interesting features include a beautiful Trelawney mantelpiece which dates back to the 17\u003csup\u003eth\u003c/sup\u003e century, gold painted shop signs that date back to the 19\u003csup\u003eth\u003c/sup\u003e century and an enormous doll\u0026rsquo;s house.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThere\u0026rsquo;s even a Victorian school room so children can see just how different learning would have been during the Victorian era so there\u0026rsquo;s something for all ages in the house. There\u0026rsquo;s also a Blitz room which offers visitors an insight into what life in Plymouth was like during the air raids.\u0026nbsp; The house is open between April and October, and it\u0026#39;s closed every Sunday and Monday (except Bank Holidays).
