Smallicombe Farm

Smallicombe Farm

Honiton, Devon

Experience everything we love about Devon life, with an escape to this beautiful farm in the countryside. What was once the barn has now been transformed into four beautiful properties, huddled around the original courtyard, and each one has character, a touch of elegance and spectacular views across the valley.

If you’re bringing the kids, they’re going to be beside themselves with glee when they meet the animals that call the farm home, and they’ll be welcome to lend a hand at feeding time and when it comes to collecting eggs each morning too. And when they’re not experiencing farming life, the adventure playground and its trampoline provide plenty of fun.

The animals

We think all family breaks should involve befriending farm animals and feeding them together! Smallicombe Farm’s home to rare breed pigs, sheep, cows, chickens and ducks, and it’s fantastic that guests of all ages are encouraged to pop along and join in with feeds and the daily egg collection.

Younger guests will love the opportunity to befriend their fellow residents, and what better way to experience life in Devon’s countryside than by staying on a real farm? In fact, Smallicombe offers special courses for those of you keen to learn more about keeping rare breed pigs.

Adventure play area

Life at Smallicombe is all about being outside in the fresh air and having a great time, and the adventure play area in one of the shared gardens makes that easy!

You’ll find a sunken trampoline (show us a kid who doesn’t love a trampoline and we’ll eat out hats…), a pirate ship, swings, a slide…pretty much everything you need to keep the little ones entertained in between those visits to the animals and those family adventures. There’s another communal garden too, so there’s plenty of space to spend time together in the Great Outdoors.

The outdoor kitchen

It’s not all about the kids though, and foodies are going to be in for quite the treat at Smallicombe. We know there are some fabulous places to eat in the region, but how about cooking up a storm in the farm's outdoor kitchen?

The communal outdoor kitchen adds a little something special to mealtimes, and you’ll be able to test out the pizza oven and the barbeque before gathering the clan on the decking to tuck in. There’s something about that fresh Devon air that leaves us hungry, so you’ll be able to enjoy al fresco dining in style during your stay.
