What’s a holiday in Devon without the chance to pet and hand feed some animals? Well the World of Country Life is just the place to do it, and there’s an animal experience around every corner. Make friends with the residents of the petting farm, feed the deer from the safari deer train and walk a goat (or let it walk you, whichever you prefer). There’s even the opportunity to feed lambs and calves by bottle. Now if that isn’t enough animal fun for one day we don’t know what is...
The attraction is a nice way to see what country life is really like, and there are some indoor attractions to visit too. Wander an indoor Victorian street, check out the vintage steam engines (always a favourite with the dads) and find out how things used to be at the Farm Museum. There are indoor and outdoor play areas for children, so don’t worry if there’s a shower during your visit (the animals certainly won’t) and you might even see a ferret race while you’re there (yes, really!).
The park opens for the season during February and is open every day of the summer, so if you’re in the Exmouth area it’s a must. World of Country Life has something for everyone, and children love the freedom to greet and feed the animals.
