Every inch the traditional rural pub, The Cleave’s a real favourite with those that visit Bovey Tracey and the surrounding area. The pub has a reputation for its warm welcome and serving up hearty, fresh meals and you’ll find it in the sleepy village of Lustleigh on Dartmoor.
Step inside and you’ll find yourself in the oldest part of the pub, and it’s all low hanging beams and stone floors. Log fires flicker a warm welcome on winter days, and the friendly welcome from the owners and their staff makes this the kind of place that makes you feel at home even if you’ve never visited before.
For those of you who prefer to dine in the bright airy atmosphere of the contemporary section you’ll find it to the rear of the pub – and it has its own bar to make things easier. There’s a beautiful garden that seats up to 100 customers on sunny summer days, and there’s a relaxed feel to The Cleave that has visitors returning every time they’re in the area. All food is cooked on the premises, and there are children’s options, light bites and a selection of choices for vegetarians.
