If you’re a little rusty on the board or just want to learn you’ll find the beach lined with some top class surf schools, and their experienced instructors will have even the most hesitant person on a board. The reviews of each school speak for themselves so check them out before you choose one.
Croyde has fantastic surf, but it’s important to check the tide times as if you arrive when it’s going out you won’t find much surf. One of Croyde Bay’s biggest draws is its friendly atmosphere. You’ll find advice is always on hand for the locals and surf outlets, and they know the area well enough to give guidance according to the conditions of the day. One of the only problems with this surfing spot is that it can get very busy during peak periods, but on the plus side it offers a lovely stretch of beach, convenient facilities and a great vibe.
