If you fancy a walk that gets you out on the coast and has plenty of opportunity to take in Devon’s famous seascapes then this is the one, and it follows a scenic cliff top path. If you don’t have much of a head for heights then this may not be the best route for you, but if you love nothing more than a bird’s eye view and a sea breeze then you’re good to go!

Start the walk in the pretty village of Croyde and enjoy passing Baggy Point (one of the area’s top climbing spots) and the seemingly endless Woolacombe Sands. This walk follows part of the South West Coast Path and part of the Tarka Trail, so it’s well-trodden and easy to follow the route. Graded easy, it’s suitable for those who aren’t used to strenuous terrain, but it’s a good idea to wear walking shoes all the same.

The highlights of this walk include gorgeous views over Croyde, as well as a fantastic one of Putsborough and Woolacombe Sands to Morte Point along the way. The Tarka Trail follows Tarka the Otter’s journey in the book by Henry Williamson, and it’s the same stretch that belongs to the South West Coast Path. On a clear day you should be able to see Clovelly and Hartland Point as you near the headland of Baggy Point.

https://assets.bluechipholidays.co.uk/media/catalogs/public/downloads/preview/custom_carousel/users/101/2013/06/IMG_0314.jpg.JPG/carousel.jpg
devon/croyde/croyde-to-baggy-point
https://assets.bluechipholidays.co.uk/media/catalogs/public/downloads/preview/custom_1x1/users/101/2013/06/IMG_0314.jpg.JPG/carousel.jpg
