One reviewer describes this quaint little Barnstaple spot as ‘a lovely cafe with a warm welcome and delicious food’, so we thought we’d recommend it. With old favourites on the menu such as doorstep sandwiches and homemade lemonade, The Cream Tea Cafe is the perfect way to enjoy lunch during a stay in north Devon.
The cafe sits in a quiet little street in the centre of the town, and if you fancy taking some time out during a busy day shopping and getting to know the area then pop in and take the weight off your feet. All cakes and scones are baked from scratch on the premises, so you’ll be able to enjoy that ‘fresh from the oven’ taste that’s hard to find these days.
As the name suggests, this is one of the many places to sample a traditional Devon cream tea during a stay in the area, and it has the feel of a real English tea shop. Pop in during a visit to the area for some old fashioned charm!
