Putsborough suits surfers of every ability and has an easterly offshore wind direction and a westerly swell direction.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003ePutsborough is one of the area\u0026rsquo;s most relaxing places for a surf, and it only gets really busy when it\u0026rsquo;s not surfable at the more popular beaches nearby, so check out the conditions for all of them before choosing.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAs this spot is sheltered by huge headland it\u0026rsquo;s often still good for a surf even if the wind picks up and blows out the area\u0026rsquo;s other beaches. The waves really pick up as the tide pushes in and they\u0026rsquo;re fantastic towards high tide (just look out for the rocks). The strong surf means it isn\u0026rsquo;t the safest beach for swimmers, but you can walk along the whole beach to Putsborough Sands. From here the walk to Baggy Point is quite gentle and the rock formation is striking.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eCroyde Bay beach also has a Blue Flag to its name, so expect clean sands and safe waters. The surf here is even bigger than back in Woolacombe, and as the beach isn\u0026rsquo;t quite so big it can feel busier here during the summer.
