One of the best ways to explore the beauty of the Cotswold Water Park is on foot, and the paths and trails that surround the lakes are as peaceful as they are flat. So, that means it’s easy to pick a pathway that suits your clan and get walking. There’s a walk to suit every kind of visitor, so if you’re keen to take in some of local wildlife, quintessential English villages or watch the sporting action on the lakes, you’ll find the perfect route.
It’s always a good idea to start with a circular walk, and there are six key routes in the water park that’ll take you full circle. It’s just a question of whether you’d rather wander along a canal towpath, a gentle river trail or alongside some of those huge shimmering lakes. Or, if you’re happiest on two wheels, you’ll find some fantastic cycle routes for all abilities too.
Now, nobody’s judging if you’re happy to leave the trainers at home for your holiday, but should you be in the mood for a run while you’re in the water park, there are some running routes to enjoy too. The routes have no stiles, avoid roads and also highlight any areas that are prone to flooding.
