St Columb Major, Cornwall

Stay in one of our luxury Retallack lodges and step into stylish living in a gorgeous setting. Our selection of spacious lodges includes contemporary properties in 40 acres of unspoilt Cornish countryside, and as each lodge has been individually designed there’s one to suit every visitor.

We have three lodges to choose from in our Retallack range, and the park’s rural location means whichever one you go for you’ll enjoy views to take your breath away and the feeling of being a world away from the hustle and bustle of home. In fact, the park enjoys such a natural setting that it’s common to see all kinds of wildlife wandering through during a stay - so it’s the ultimate rural retreat.

Guests are welcome to use the onsite facilities for a small charge, and they include tennis, kids play, golf, fishing and every child's dream - the FlowRider wave machine. So if you're content to spend lazy days enjoying the resort then you'll find plenty to keep the whole family entertained. For those times when you do feel like exploring further afield, the park’s North Cornwall location makes it a popular base for cycling the Camel Trail, visiting Newquay and exploring Padstow.

FlowRider Wave Machine

There may be a tranquil beauty to Retallack, but don’t be fooled…the exhilarating FlowRider wave machine is often available for sessions to help you get used to the waves before braving the nearby sea. No matter how fit (or unfit as the case may be) or what age you are you'll be able to experience the rush of riding a wave on the only wave machine of its kind in the country, well this is Cornwall after all.

So, if you’re not quite feeling ready to take to the board at sea or if the surf’s not up to scratch during your stay then you can experience all the thrills of surfing in a safe environment. Trust us, the kids won’t want the session to end – and you’ll receive a discount when you book as you’re a guest of Retallack.

The Retallack beach

Who says you only find beaches on the coast? You’ll find a sandy beach right on the Retallack resort, and that means you can pick your very own spot of sand and lie back beside the lake for some time out.

There’s a changing area, fish bar and even a beach shop, so you’ll have everything you need to recreate the classic day at the seaside…and you’ll only be minutes from your home from home. See, they’ve thought of everything! Just don’t forget your bucket and spade…

For the sporty

If you like to stay active during your holidays, then there’s good news. You’ll have use of the Retallack golf course and tennis courts throughout your stay, so you can challenge the rest of your party to your own tournaments, practice your serve and just enjoy the peace and quiet with some time on the course. See, they’ve thought of everything.

Better still, you can hire a kayak and take to the lake for an adventure on the water. If you prefer to stay on shore, how about a spot of fishing in the private lake? If you're not sure where to start, you can even book a lesson.

Cycle track

The recreation area and cycle track means those of you keen to explore the site’s scenery on two wheels can enjoy a leisurely cycle. When the sun’s a-shining and the fresh air calls,  you can grab your bikes, pack up a picnic and head off to the track to see what you can see.

Or, if you'd rather take the opportunity to stretch your legs, the track's perfect for a jog and you can take in the views of the lake while you work off those holiday treats. At 5k, the track's the perfect way to take in the scenery and get active.

For the kids

If you think the kids look happy as you drive onto the Retallack resort then just wait until they clap their eyes on the playground and zip wire. The kind of adventure play area that’ll have them eager to get up and back on the slides each morning, this  play area’s one of the highlights of a family stay at the site. After all, it’s no fun if you don’t have the run of your own pirate ship is it?

The Retallack Kids Club runs during school holidays too, so if you fancy letting the kids enjoy some seasonal activities while you sneak off for some time out, check out the timetable.

Swimming and fitness

Now we can’t say we blame you if you leave your gym kit at home and forget the calories, but if you fancy keeping the old figure in check during your stay you’ll find a gym, pool, sauna and fitness classes at Retallack to help you keep up with your workout routine.

The personal trainers on hand at the gym are always happy to offer encouragement and guidance to help you meet your fitness goals, and the classes are great fun. Choose from spinning, beach bootcamp and insanity, and if nothing else you’ll meet some of your neighbours and have a fantastic time.

On the water

Water babies love Retallack, and it might just be something to do with its aqua park. With a Total Wipeout style that makes it more fun than you’ll have had in ages, this floating attraction includes a giant trampoline, a water wheel, catapult, stepping stones, blast bags…you name it – it’s there. The perfect opportunity to test your skills on the water and have a laugh at the same time, the park’s one of Retallack’s best-loved facilities.

Sessions at the aqua park cost £15 per person, or you can buy a 7 day pass for £40 which includes use of the park’s SUPs, water zorbs and wake park too.
