Perranporth Beach The beach is already a stunner, but once the tides goes out and it connects with its neighbour Penhale Sands you’ll be looking at one of north Devon’s longest sections of unbroken coast. Not bad eh?

Due to new restrictions, dogs do need to be kept on leads during July and August (between 9am and 5pm) but other than that they’re free to enjoy the sands along with the two-legged folk. The Watering Hole pub and restaurant isn’t just beside the beach, it’s actually right on it – and your dog will be welcome inside and out. We have it on very good authority that their nachos are incredible, and expect large portions if you order food.

Perranporth’s town backs onto the beach, so one end can be a little crowded during high season. Just make your way along in the opposite direction if it seems busy at first as you’ll soon find space to enjoy some time out with your family and the dog. There are lifeguards on hand between Easter weekend and the end of September, so this is a family-friendly beach too.

Described by one TripAdvisor user as “the best place to run the dog and blow away the cobwebs”, Perranporth Beach seems endless at low tide and it’s hard to imagine a more picturesque setting to watch your dog chase the waves.

Perranporth is the kind of sandy Cornwall beach that everybody loves, and if you’ll be heading there will the children in tow you’ll be happy to learn that the beach is easy to access. One of the nicest features of Perranporth Beach is the sand dunes that frame it, so if you walk along the beach until the tide comes in you’ll be able to walk your dog back through them to round off the visit. Look out for the Watering Hole beach cafe right on the sand, as it welcomes dogs and usually offers water bowls if you stop for a drink yourself.

https://assets.bluechipholidays.co.uk/media/catalogs/public/downloads/preview/custom_carousel/2013/04/1367333797.jpg/carousel.jpg
cornwall/perranporth/walking-perranporth-beach
https://assets.bluechipholidays.co.uk/media/catalogs/public/downloads/preview/custom_1x1/2013/04/1367333797.jpg/carousel.jpg
