Swanpool Beach is a stunning choice of beach in Falmouth, and it even sits within its own secluded cove. Don’t be fooled into thinking that out of the way means a quiet beach without much to do though, there’s always something going on at this one and it’s a great choice no matter what your interests. The beach is found just a short walk from Gyllyngvase Beach, and it’s a Blue Flag beach too.
Swanpool Beach runs along the Cliff Road and is one of the larger Falmouth beaches, and the highlights you’ll find during summer include a cafe, a bouncy castle to entertain the children and surf hire outlets to help you enjoy the waves. There’s a car park close by on the other side of the main road.
Swanpool Nature Reserve backs the beach and its resident swans make it a popular spot for a stroll if you fancy working off all the ice cream. If you’re not quite ready to get surfing yet there are kayaks for hire at Swanpool so you can get out on the water and stay dry, and if you’re feeling competitive there’s a crazy golf course nearby too.
