Pirate Day and Trail at Coleton Fishacre, Kingswear
23 and 24 October
There's pirate fun to be had at Coleton Fishacre. Come dressed in your pirate best and join the creative pirate school, making pirate treasure crafts and pirate crowns with autumn leaves.
There's a pirate trail on the 24th of October - X marks the spot. Children can claim a small prize once the trail is complete.
Scream Park at Woodlands, Totnes

Woodlands has gone from theme park to scream park to celebrate Halloween.
Treat your little pumpkins to a Halloween experience like no other. With dazzling decorations to eerie sites and sounds.
Exeter Phoenix Auditoreum Rustle, Exeter
PaddleBoat Theatre Company invites you to help set up camp so that they can tell the greatest campfire story ever told: where sleeping bags evolve into monsters, rucksacks become friends and torches highlight the forest’s closest secrets.
Tickets are £8.00 each or £25 for a family ticket.
Drop In Glass Votives and Shrinkies Crafts at Exeter Cathedral, Exeter

October half term Spooktacular, Land’s End
22 - 28 October
Beware of ghoulish goings-on and spooky shenanigans this Halloween at the westernmost point of Cornwall. Explore the free Halloween Craft Cavern and draw, cut and glue together the scariest Halloween monster you can imagine.
Cornish Apple Bobbing Championships, Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, Near Newquay
To celebrate harvest season in October and National Apple Day, Healeys hosts a range of extra activities on the farm. This is a fun day out for all the family and the chance to win fantastic prizes! There will be apple bobbing competitions for both children and adults, starting at 11am in the courtyard.
The winner will 'bob' the most apples in one minute to win a month's worth of Cornish Rattler cyder (or juice) and a Sunday roast for two at the Old Bottlery Restaurant on the farm.
