Another day at the office....

One The Old School Mews

Setting off from the Ferry at Yarmouth, with lots of properties to visit, the sun shining brightly, the day had just begun!

We would be travelling to many beautiful properties around the island, so we knew today was going to be busy assessing and grading them all but what a wonderful surprise when we ventured into them.  From two-beds to mansions, the quality and standard was to Blue Chip’s high requirements.  Feeling content with the outcomes we saw, we travelled on through the beautiful Isle of Wight villages and the amazing green country side.

Tired and weary, we approached the last property of the day, One the Old School Mews.  A cluster of properties grand and tall, the Old School Mews was impressive to say the least.

We parked up outside the rear of the house and walked through the beautiful large garden to the entrance of the house.  Opening the door to a large and welcoming entrance hall, we were all impressed by the size of the rooms.  They were beautifully decorated and spacious in which to relax.  With a contemporary feel and traditional old school house touches here and there, it made us feel instantly at home.

We ventured into the kitchen with its large island work space which would beckon even the most amateur of cooks.  All the utensils and cook ware was plentiful for you to start preparing a feast to later place on the large table with enough seats for friends and family.

Back through the spacious living area we hot-footed up to the bedrooms to be even more impressed with the delightful rooms with plenty of space to put away your clothes.

The ensuites and bathrooms where a delight, clean and light with all the mod cons.  The toilet roll paper shaped into a flower which was another added touch to make you feel welcomed into the home.

Leaving our overnight bags, we decided to venture to the Shanklin seafront by Shanklin beach. After approximately just ten minutes in the car, we soon approached the sea front. With the sun still glistening on the sea it didn’t really matter that it was getting cooler outside.  My colleagues had been here before so decided for a change we would try The Water Front restaurant for a meal.  The staff were friendly and accommodating.  Soon we were sat chatting about the beautiful properties we had viewed during the day and eating a tasty meal.

Quite eager to get back, as another long day was looming, we arrived back at the property to finish off our day’s work and to retire to bed.  The crisp white sheets and homely feel meant we were off to sleep within minutes of hitting the pillow.

Up in the morning it was sad to go.  I would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy the property as it should be.  It was with great thanks to the owners who made our stay so welcoming that we bid farewell. Maybe I will be back for a longer holiday with my family to enjoy the experience of The old school Mews and the beautiful Isle of Wight.

To meet owners and beautiful properties -  this is now my ‘office’. How lucky am I?
