North Star Club
An experience unlike any other, North Star Club is a collection of stunning woodland suites in the Yorkshire Wolds. The perfect meeting of rustic glamour and a touch of luxury here and there, the suites have been carefully created to help you embrace the natural world and the simple life.
Blissfully free from televisions and gadgets, our North Star Club cabins have beautiful interior designs inspired by the wilderness retreats of North America. Step from your living space and onto your veranda, where you can sit back and listen to the sounds of the trees overhead while your dinner slowly sizzles on the barbeque.
Inside, lamps glow softly, log burners flicker and four poster beds await weary heads. The bathrooms have plenty of space for you to succumb to the spa treatments available in your home from home, and the roll top bathtubs make the perfect places to lie back and just be. And best of all, you’ll always be just a moment from the fresh air and the woodland.
There’s a fairytale feel to North Star Club, and the shared relaxation spaces mean there’s plenty of opportunity to make your break all about enjoying the Great Outdoors. When evening creeps in and the stars shine their way shyly through the canopy of trees above, you’ll be able to lie back beside the fire and just enjoy them.
As beautiful as they are unique, the woodland suites at North Star Club couldn’t be more inviting if they tried. Each one blends into the woodland as though it’s been there forever, just waiting for you and your family to stumble across it and set up home for a few days.
Decorated by an interior designer, the cabins coax their guests to step back from the digital world and set about the art of relaxation. With the tiniest touch of vintage chic and a rustic charm throughout, the cabins’ features are all about forgetting the world and embracing life with nature on your doorstep. You’ll find choices with infra-red saunas, and each one has a log burner in the master bedroom to keep you cosied up no matter the season.
When did you last make new friends under the stars while you watched a fire flicker? The communal campfire comes to life of an evening, and that means you can pull up a tree trunk and get to know your neighbours while you stare up at the starry sky for a while. If you’re taking the kids, there’s something about ending the day by the camp fire that’ll stay with them for years to come.
Or, if you prefer to be inside, curl up on one of the settees in the woodshed and enjoy the fire with a cup of tea. You’ll be free to help yourself to the homemade cake and hot drinks, and what a space to finally finish the book you’ve been meaning to pick up again.
Life at North Star Club’s so relaxing that you won’t even have to leave your cabin to succumb to a treatment. You’ll be able to arrange for Ruth - the site’s Beauty Therapist - to come to you, and there’s plenty of space in the suites’ spa-style bathrooms for a little pampering.
Just imagine finishing your treatment and being able to step straight into your king size bed for a well-deserved nap, or sink into the roll top bath for some more time out. The lovely Ruth is Elemis trained, and as her speciality lies in Swedish massage and deep tissue massage you’ll be in good hands if you’re in need of some time out and a little help with those aches and pains.
We’ve a sneaky feeling you won’t stray too far from North Star Club and its woodland during your stay, but for those times when you do venture further afield you’ll find plenty of adventures. The site’s set in the majesty of the Yorkshire Wolds, 15 minutes from the historic town of Beverley and 35 minutes from York. With the coast 40 minutes’ drive away you’ll find bucket and spade days within easy reach, and there’s a polo club, golf course and clay pigeon shooting nearby too.
For the foodies, the award winning village pub - The star @sancton - is 15 minute stroll away, and the good news is that they even deliver food to the suites. And, for something special, the Michelin star pub The Pipe and Glass is 15 minute drive away.
