We can always leave it to Yorkshire to go the extra mile and make an event one to remember, and if you’re looking to experience something a little different this Bonfire Night, you need to head to the infamous Skinningrove Bonfire. The small village of Skinningrove is set close to the rugged North Yorkshire coast, and the spectacular display on bonfire night attracts hordes of visitors every year.
Each year the night takes on a different theme, and the bonfire is built around it. From enormous ships and trains to gothic castles built of wood, the fire here isn't just enormous, it's unlike any other in the UK. When this grand spectacle goes up in flames you’re sure to be amazed, make sure you bring your camera to capture the event. You can even take part in workshops in the weeks building up to the night to help build and paint the bonfire, everyone is welcome to come and join in.
Shortly after the bonfire's lit, visitors will be able to marvel in one of the biggest and best firework displays that Yorkshire has to offer. This fantastic and fun filled event is popular amongst adults and children, so make sure you bring your sparklers and wrap up warm for a night to remember.
