One of six Michelin Star restaurants in Yorkshire, The Box Tree is an unassuming restaurant with an emphasis on French classical dining. Run by a husband and wife team, The Box Tree, in Ilkley, has been impressing diners with its menu since the sixties and it’s had a Michelin Star to its name for over a decade.
It’s not only the food that’s set this eatery apart from the competition, it’s home to an extensive wine cellar that means no matter how many times you visit you’ll still find something new to sample, and the staff are always happy to help recommend something to complement your meal.
The owners are dedicated to using fresh, local ingredients throughout every dish wherever they can, and that means most of the produce is sourced from nearby farmers and suppliers so diners can enjoy the true taste of Yorkshire. Favourites include Roast Sea Scallops, Celeriac Puree, White Truffle Oil and Soufflés.
The dining area is decorated with all kinds of art pieces and antiques, so there’s a welcoming feel to the restaurant that makes dining all the more enjoyable. The Box Tree opens every Tuesday through to Saturday for dinner and for lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
