Grassington Farmers’ Market takes place on the third Sunday of every month, so if you time a stay in the village just right you’ll have no excuse not to sample some of the local produce while you’re there! The village sits right in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside - so what better place to sample the produce sourced from the village and its surrounding area?
Everyone’s welcome to the market and as it’s held in the centre of the village it’s easy to reach and while away an hour or two browsing the farmers’ wares. The market runs from 9am – 3pm and includes meats, dairy products and fresh vegetables, and as it runs all year round the products on offer change with the seasons as they’re fresh from the neighbouring farms.
The Yorkshire Dales and the villages that surround them are enough to inspire any family to dine in on fresh produce from a farmer they’ve actually met, and Grassington Farmers’ Market makes for an interesting insight into the hard work that goes into producing the great tastes that have made Yorkshire a popular spot with foodies.
