Now, if you’re going to take the kids to the Yorkshire Dales then they’ll need to roll their sleeves up and muck in on a farm to really experience country life, and Big Sheep Little Cow is just the place to do it. This farm visitor centre welcomes visitors of all ages and offers them the chance to bottle feed the animals, and regular guided tours of the farm ensure that nobody misses a thing.
If you time your visit right you may just get to watch the magical moment when a litter of piglets or a new lamb enters the world and even for the adults it’s an unforgettable experience that’ll make the day extra special. Not to worry if you don’t see any births though, a visit during season means it’s all hands on deck when it comes to feeding hungry mouths around the farm so visitors are always welcome to have a cuddle and feed the new arrivals by hand.
The attraction’s also home to Wooly Jumpers - an indoor adventure play centre - so if you get a shower during your visit the kids won’t even notice while they let off steam and navigate the slides, ropes and bridges inside. Please note that socks must be worn inside the play area so make sure you take a pair with you if the kids are wearing summer shoes on the day.
