SeaQuariumEverybody loves an aquarium, and the SeaQuarium is one of the most fascinating Weston-super-Mare family attractions. Located right on the town’s spectacular beach, the SeaQuarium includes a stunning underwater tunnel, as well as sharks, rays and many more undersea creatures. This exciting day out gives a very real insight into life under the sea, and there are live feeding demonstrations throughout the day. The 25 displays don’t just offer a peep under the seven seas though, they also include estuary and rainforest river sections. The best part is, you can walk around as many times as you like!

The Helicopter Museum
The Helicopter Museum isn’t just an intriguing family attraction in Weston-super-Mare, it’s also the biggest dedicated helicopter museum in the world! As the whole thing’s undercover this is a great day out to bear in mind in case of wet weather, and it’s open from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year. The Helicopter Museum boasts more than 80 helicopters and a wide collection of related materials and memorabilia. Look out for the special Open Cockpit days once every month, where visitors can sit inside the helicopters and learn more about their controls.

Wookey Hole CavesOk, so Wookey Hole Caves aren’t quite a Weston-super-Mare family attraction, but they’re just a 40 minute drive away and well worth the journey! Visitors can roam the caves once home to early man, and discover how they’ve shaped Somerset’s history, beliefs and present. To book your tickets online and save 15% click here.

The Weston Miniature RailwayThe Weston Miniature Railway may be one of the tiniest Weston-super-Mare attractions but it’s one of the most fun! The Miniature Railway is a gentle half a mile train ride aboard traditional (yet small!) locomotives. Visitors will also find an 18-hole putting green, a drive-it-yourself- tram for children under 10 and a refreshment kiosk. This Weston-super-Mare attraction is open daily (weather allowing) between the Spring Bank Holiday and the middle of September, and weekends and holidays between February and November. The railway opened in 1984, and continues to thrill visitors of ages today. |
The WheelFirst London had one, and then it became the newest family attraction in Weston-super-Mare! The observation wheel dominates the seafront skyline and offers the best views in Somerset! The wheel is 40m high and boasts 30 glass pods to enable visitors to enjoy views of Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, the Mendip Hills, Exmoor National Park and the Quantocks. The Wheel of Weston is great fun for the whole family, and it’s best on a clear day as the views are priceless. You can’t miss it either!
