Wells Tourist Information
The Medieval city of Wells sits to the south of the Mendip Hills, and is thought to have earned its name from the springs that bubble beneath it. The city is the smallest in the country, and its 13 century cathedral dominates the skyline, making a spectacular sight.
There is a bustling market twice weekly in the Wells Market Place, and visitors have their pick of unique attractions within a short driving distance too. The Medieval appearance and nostalgic feel of Wells have made it the perfect setting for many a film, and it has featured in Hot Fuzz and The Libertine to name two!
