Dog Friendly Wales Walks

Swansea Bay and Mumbles could have been carved for owners and their dogs, and what better way to enjoy them than with a dog friendly walk?! The natural scenery of Gower lures its fans back time after time, and as the peninsula is only 18 miles in length you can cover a good deal of it on foot during a dog-friendly Wales holiday.

The Gower Peninsula is lapped by sea on three sides, so it’s a lovely area to visit if you enjoy wandering the coast with your dog. There are dozens of short and circular walks.

Dog Friendly Pubs in Wales

With some of the UK’s best dog friendly beaches, it wouldn’t do for us not to list some of the pubs and restaurants that welcome pets along too. The Joiners Arms in Swansea offers real ales, great food and water for dogs, and the Beaufort Arms in Mumbles welcomes all dogs along too.

Pontardawe Inn welcomes dogs, as well as hot meals and live music. For something different in Swansea, try The Bay View, as you can eat in the bar if you bring your four-legged friend along.

Dog Friendly Beaches in Wales

Good news for those on dog friendly Wales holidays, the Gower Peninsula isn’t only one of the country’s most spectacular regions, but many of its heralded beached welcome dogs all year round. Swansea Bay has dog friendly sections, and Mumbles welcomes dogs throughout the year as far as its lighthouse. Three Cliffs Bay is completely dog friendly, and by the way, one of the most photographed views on the Gower Peninsula!
