Dog Friendly Lizard Peninsula AttractionsTrevarno Country Estate is one of the best dog friendly Lizard attractions, as areas of its spectacular gardens welcome owners and their dogs to enjoy the paths and trails. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the stunning estate, and there are areas of the walks where dogs can be taken off the lead for a run around. Look for the signs or ask when you arrive for details. Trevarno is a stunning historic estate in the heart of the Lizard Peninsula, and its gardens, grounds and woodlands date back as far as 1246. The Trevarno Gardens cover 70 acres, and are home to hundreds of rare and exotic flowers, shrubs and trees.

Dog Friendly Lizard Peninsula BeachesAlthough there are some beautiful beaches in the area, it can be difficult to find dog friendly Lizard Peninsula beaches during the summer months, but Mullion Cove is the only one you need to know. Low tide reveals one of The Lizard’s most stunning sandy beaches and dogs are welcome to enjoy it all year round. Because the beach is close to the harbour, there are plenty of toilet and refreshment facilities just a short walk away, and there are also some lovely walks along the surrounding cliffs too. Have a look up at the cliff faces whilst on the beach and you’ll see breathtaking Serpentine rock formations. |

As well as the striking coastal views for you to admire while your dog stretches his legs, look out for the rare wild flowers that grow along the top of the cliffs. It’s hard not to notice the beauty of England’s most southerly tip, and walking the Lizard is probably the best way to enjoy its unspoilt scenery. From unassuming villages, to sun-bleached sandy beaches and windswept cliffs, you and your dog will have the pick of some of the UK’s finest trails and walks on the Lizard Peninsula. |
