The Artists Open Houses festival takes place twice each year and it sees many of the city’s studios, galleries and even the homes of artists throw open their doors and welcome the public for a few special days. You’ll need to register in advance when the dates are announced, and the festival showcases the diverse arts and crafts that make the city so special to a wider audience of art lovers (or anyobody really).
Each festival includes a range of different events across Brighton, and they’re all free and open to all. There’s even the odd opportunity to meet some of the artists if you want to know more about their work, and plenty of chances to buy new pieces. The art festival-goers can expect to see exhibited ranges from paintings, ceramics, jewellery, sculptures, printmaking and photography.
Open Artist Houses takes place in May each year alongside The Brighton Festival and then again in the lead up to Christmas.
