Dartmouth Castle

Dartmouth Castle is a romantic South Hams attraction, and this pretty fortress dates back more than 600 years. A river boat trip from the Town Quay drops visitors just minutes from the castle during the summer season, and this intriguing complex makes for a great day’s exploring.

Sorley Tunnel

Sorley Tunnel Adventure Farm is located just outside of Kingsbridge and makes an all-weather Salcombe and South Hams family attraction. Sprawled over 200 acres of land, Sorley Tunnel Adventure Farm is home to friendly farm animals that visitors of any age love to come and greet!

The farm includes all-weather play areas for wet days, a riding school, fun craft workshops, a restaurant and much more. Parking is free, and there is also disables access to the farm. Sorley Tunnel is open all year round although times vary with the seasons.

The Edwardian House belonged to Otto Overbeck, and is also open to the public. Salcombe Maritime & Local History Museum

One of the most fascinating Salcombe family attractions is the Salcombe Maritime and Local History Museum. With engaging displays and regular exhibitions, the museum is suitable for the whole family and offers a great insight into the town’s past.

Journey back through time to the days when smugglers reigned Salcombe and the South Hams, and learn the secrets of the ship builders and characters of yesterday!

The museum includes fun models, interesting photographs and real shipwreck artefacts.
