No matter what their ages or abilities, pretty much everyone to try their hand at Cheddar Crazy Golf course leaves promising themselves they’ll play again next time they visit. The 18 hole course was carefully designed to appeal to all ages so it’s a great way to spend an hour or two as a family, and features along the way include backgrounds carved from worn stone straight from the nearby gorge – just in case you forget where you’re playing.
Look out for the water flowing from the gorge stone grotto, it makes this a pretty course to spend time on as well as an entertaining one, and it dates back to the 19th century. You’ll find parking outside the course for a charge, and views across Cheddar Gorge in the distance make this course that little bit more special. Review after review points out that the obstacles are great fun and that the course is great fun to tackle during a visit to Cheddar.
The course may be great fun, but it’s also cleverly thought out, so those of you who like a bit of a challenge with your crazy golf will need to apply your skills as you make your way around.
