Saunton Golf ClubGolfers on their holidays in Saunton will think they’ve dies and gone to heaven at this Saunton attraction. Rated 60 in the world by Gold World Magazine, the East course at Saunton Golf Club is one of two fantastic Championship courses for visitors to experience. Visitors are welcome at the golf course after 9.30am, but please make sure you book. Saunton Golf Club is open throughout the year, and a day ticket includes one round on each course. Between November and March a day ticket includes the kitchen’s daily special to warm you up between rounds! Whenever you time your visit, this is one attraction in Saunton that golfers won’t want to miss! |
Braunton & District MuseumFor a family attraction in Braunton, Braunton Museum is a great place to learn more about the area’s history, and holds a few surprises about its past too. As the largest village in the country, it’s little wonder that Braunton boasts a fascinating past. The Braunton Great Field is one of two working examples of Saxon strip farming remaining in England, and alongside displays of Braunton’s maritime heritage the museum gives a great overviews of the varied history of the area. Tarka the Otter fans will be interested in the Henry Williamson display, with photos and information about the fascinating life of the local author himself. Entry to the museum is free. |
