Dog Friendly Polzeath BeachesThere is a seasonal dog ban enforced on Rock Beach, so you’ll need to be aware of the alternative dog-friendly beaches in Rock if you’re planning to visit between Easter and October. Polzeath beach also operates a dog ban between Easter and October. Padstow Bay, just across the estuary, is home to some of Cornwall’s finest sandy beaches, and many of them are dog friendly all year round! Constantine Bay and Booby’s Bay connect into one huge beach when the tide goes out, and both are dog-friendly all year. Harlyn Bay, also near Padstow, welcomes dogs along.

Dog Friendly Polzeath AttractionsOne of the most convenient things about dog-friendly holidays in Rock is that the Black Tor Ferry welcomes them aboard! The ferry offers frequent services to Padstow, across the estuary, and there is a great selection of pet friendly beaches to be found on this side of the water. Dogs can be charged a fare of £1 but some captains will let them off. Cornwall’s Crealy, in nearby Wadebridge also welcomes dogs for the small charge of 60p. Crealy Great Adventure Park is a thrilling family theme park with lots to see and do, but please keep your dog on a lead at all times.

Dog Friendly Rock & Polzeath WalksThe sheltered estuary and winding country lanes make dog friendly Rock and Polzeath walks a dog idea at any time of year. During the summer you’ll find plenty to see as you walk, and you can even catch the ferry across to continue with a different view...but there’s something special about the winter when you’ll have the beach to yourselves and a quiet atmosphere hangs in the breeze. If your dog friendly holiday cottage is in Polzeath, you can walk from Padstown to Polzeath and pass through Rock, and you get a journey across the estuary on the Black Tor Ferry too! Also, The Camel Trail passes through nearby Padstow and Wadebridge, and this 11 mile stretch of disused railway makes for a smooth and simple walk to follow.
