Plymouth Volksfest 2011If Volkswagons are your passion then Plymouth Volksfest 2011 is definitely the Plymouth event for you! Set to take place between 27 and 30 May 201, the festival will not only include access to hundreds of fabulous Volkswagens, but also live music, comedy shows and much more! One of the highlights of the annual festival is the Show n’ Shine competition, which is a great opportunity to show the world your own Volkswagen. Plymouth Volksfest 2011 takes place in Plympton, and is fast becoming one of the most popular small festivals in the country.

The Plymouth RegattaAll classes of yachts and dinghies are welcome at this week of sailing in Plymouth’s famous port , between 23 and 31 July 2011. The Plymouth Regatta will open on Saturday with a spectacular long distance Champagne Race for racing and cruising yachts which will take its entrants 40 miles off the coast. The Dinghy and Rookie Series is set to take place between Sunday and Wednesday, and there will be yacht racing between Thursday and Saturday. Sunday 31 will see all winners take part in the Champion of Champions Race in the CatteWater – this is one amazing Plymouth event !

Plymouth Race WeekPlymouth Race Week is known as the ‘Yachtsmen’s Regatta’, and will take place for four days from 7-10 July 2011. Hosted by the Royal Western Yacht Club, Plymouth Race Week is the most thrilling and competitive event of its nature to visit Devon! Sailors of all levels will converge on the city fto race in this challenging regatta. The Plymouth event will be supported by local sailor Pete Goss, Plymouth City Council and Help for Heros. The yachts taking part will be berthed in Sutton Harbour for those who fancy going along for a peek!

Plymouth Summer FestivalThe annual Plymouth Summer Festival is a four month long Plymouth event, running from May to September. This festival cloaks a wide range of summer events in Plymouth, including the British Firework Championships, the Plymouth Flavour Fest and many more. The British Firework Championships are one of Sotu Devn's most popular events, and the stunning didplays attract hundreds from all over the county.
