Dog Friendly Plymouth WalksOne of the most dog friendly walks in Plymouth is Mt Batten to Hooe Lake, via Bovisand and Down Thomas. The walk is a four-mile circular walk which follows the South West Coast Path, crosses fields and includes woodland – a perfect trip out for any pet! The walk starts at Mt Batten car park, close to Plymouth and continues to Bovisand with beautiful coastal views. The walk then heads inland to Down Thomas and passes through countryside to Radford Lake vefore heading back to Mt Batten via Hooe. Sections of this spectacular route offer breathtaking views across Plymouth and to Dartmoor.

Although dogs are restricted to particular areas of the sandy beach, its beauty and peaceful atmosphere make it an idyllic spot for a walk or day out with your pet.
