Padstow May DayObby Oss Day, (or May Day to the rest of us!) is one of the most important events in Padstow. The exact reason for the tradition is no longer clear, but it’s still celebrated with the same gusto as always! Padstow is beautifully decorated with wild flowers for the event, and those in town for the spectacle will be treated to the traditional hypnotic performance of the May Song. The event in Padstow also includes live music and the sight of followers dancing through the streets in their traditional colours – all to greet the arrival of spring! |
Padstow Carnival WeekThe 1 until the 6 of August can only mean one thing, Padstow carnival week! This cheery Padstow event sees the bustling port come to life with all kinds of entertainment. Visitors to the town will be more than welcome to go along and see the parades, live music, displays and join the many events throughout the week too. Children will love the Punch and Judy, and there’s usually a free child’s disco to look out for too...this event really does mean great fun for the whole family. |
Padstow Christmas FestivalPadstow is at its most special during the festive season, and the Padstow Christmas Festival is the perfect way to get into the spirit of things. The festival runs during the first week of December, and is always packed with cheery events! Highlights include Christmas lights, Santa’s grotto, fireworks and a Christmas market offering local produce and seasonal surprises. If you’re a fan of the Rick Stein, keep an eye out as he often carries out a book signing during the festivities. |

Padstow Vintage RallyThe Padstow Vintage Rally and Country Fair is a hugely popular annual event in Padstow, and it sees thousands come out to see the many attractions. Displays include cars and bikes, steam vehicles and tractors, stationary engines, opportunities for buying and selling, models and much more! Previous years have also delighted the crowds with chainsaw carving displays, and thrilling vulture shows to name a few. The 3 day event raises money for local schools and grows larger every year. If you don’t know much about vintage vehicles, come and spend the day enjoying the fun, as there’s a fairground for the children and even a beer tent for the adults. |
