Dog Friendly Padstow Walks

You’ll have your pick of dog friendly Padstow and Wadebridge walks, and you’re sure to see some breathtaking views along the way too. The Saint’s Way passes through the port of Padstow, and follows historic routes once used for trade.

The route is thought to have been used as early as the Bronze Age, by pilgrims, drovers and traders, and treats those who try it to an array of Cornwall sights and scenes.

The Camel Trail also runs through Cornwall, and is ideal for walking your dog as a family as it’s fairly flat, so you can even take pushchairs along.

Dog Friendly Padstow Beaches

The beautiful dog friendly beaches in Padstow will have your best friend tugging at his lead! Some of Cornwall’s most scenic beaches are found around Padstow Bay, and they welcome dogs along to enjoy them too. Constantine Bay and Booby’s Bay are both dog friendly, and they connect at low tide to create one large expanse of sand, great surf and convenient facilities at the Constantine Bay end.

If you enjoy a peaceful wander along the shore with your dog, try Mother Ivey’s Bay, to the west of Padstow. This is a quieter beach than the others. Harlyn Bay is also dog friendly all year round.

There would be little sense in so many welcoming attractions and perfect walks for those on holiday with their pets if there were few dog friendly pubs and restaurants in Padstow!

Luckily, those who bring their pets along for the holiday in this pretty fishing town will find some lovely pubs that welcome well behaved dogs too.

The Cornish Arms has a beer garden, offers quality meals and welcomes dogs along, and the Farmers Arms is another great example of drinking dog friendly in Padstow! Many of the dog friendly pubs provide a bowl of water too.

Dog Friendly Padstow Attractions

One of the best things about the area’s many days out in the great outdoors is that there are plenty of dog friendly Padstow attractions! Old Macdonalds Farm, between Padstow and Newquay is a lovely family day out. There are pigs, sheep, cows and rabbits for visitors to pet and bottle feed, as well as a children’s play area too. Dogs are welcome but they must remain on their leads.

Bedruthan Steps are a nautral and dog-friendly family attraction in Padstow. Erosion has created a spectacle at this beauty spot, leaving large formations of volcanic rock along the beach that you can walk through at low tide. Also, the National Trust have recreated the stone steps from the beach to the top of the nearby cliffs, so you can reach one of Cornwall’s best vantage points from here too. Dogs are also welcome at Cornwall’s Crealy for 60p per day, but please keep them on their lead.
