Mother Ivey's BayThis pretty sandy beach lies just to the west of Padstow, and although one of the less developed beaches in Padstow it also has the advantage of being one of the quietest! The nearest parking is at Harlyn Bay, so you’ll need to walk for around 15 minutes to reach the beach, although the walk does follow the beautiful South West Coast Path. Whilst there are no facilities, the beach is dog friendly, so it’s great for a walk with your pet during a dog friendly beach holiday in Padstow. |
Constantine BayThis wide sandy beach in Padstow is a lovely one for families. At low tide the already-large beach connects with Booby’s Bay and they form one huge one, so if you feel like a walk or a change of scene you can try out the other half! The beach is patrolled by lifeguards between May and September, and dogs are welcome too. Constantine Bay is not only great for enjoying sunny days on the sand, but it’s another favourite spot for surf, but this isn’t a recommended area for learners. |
Mawgan PorthMawgan Porth is just a 15 minute drive from Padstow, and its soft golden sands make is a great spot to try out during beach holidays in Padstow. This sheltered, west-facing beach is well served by a selection of shops, a cafe, toilets and car park, and there is even plenty of room on the sand at high tide. Mawgan Porth is a great beach for swimming, family fun and of course, surfing. Please note that swimming is very risky at low tide on this beach. |

Harlyn BayHarlyn Bay is not only one of the most beautiful beaches in Padstow, it’s one of the best in Cornwall too! Found to the west of the town, Harlyn Bay has a reputation throughout Padstow as one of its nicest beaches. This is a great beach for learning to surf, and there’s a surf school right on the beach for all ages to learn the famous Cornwall pastime! If you plan to walk along this beach as part of the South West Coast Path, please note that the beach will be impassable at high tide, so you need to time it around the tides!

Booby's BayBooby’s Bay is a popular Padstow beach with surfers, and its wide expanse of sand makes it great for those who prefer to lie back and enjoy the sun too! When the tide goes out, Booby’s Bay joins Constantine Bay to form one large sandy beach, so those on Padstow beach holidays find themselves spoilt for choice. If you’re around at low tide, have a look for the ship wreck that becomes visible. Booby’s Bay doesn’t have its own parking, but you can park at Constantine Bay, which is about half a mile away. There are also toilet facilities at Constantine Bay. Dogs are allowed on Booby’s Bay.
