Bodmin Moor

Tin mining is a huge piece of Cornwall’s history- and thanks to Blue Hills Tin – it remains in its present. Blue Hills Tin Streams offers an insight into the lives of those who worked them, as well as the chance to buy a rare piece of tin jewellery to take home with you.

Blue Hills Tin is the only tin miner left in Cornwall and you’ll get to meet the craftsmen who create the tin you see today, as well as enjoy a wander around the site too.

Newquay Zoo

Newquay Zoo is a fun and informative day out for the whole family, and you can visit the hundreds of animals all year round. The friendly keepers welcome visitors to come and listen to their daily talk, and children love to watch the feeding demonstrations to watch too! 2010 saw the zoo welcome a new Madagascan walk through exhibit, which houses several endangered species all the way from Madagascar. Buccanneer Bay

Buccanneer Bay is an up and coming family attraction in North Cornwall, and as it’s indoors it’s perfect for wet days. Buccanneer Bay was given an overhaul by Dragon’s Den dragon Duncan Bannatyne as part of a television series, and since has wowed visitors with its depictions of traditional Cornish myths and legends.

Not only do under 5s go free, but visitors are guided around by pirates! Colourful depictions bring the myths and legends of Cornwall to life with tales and stories.
