Newquay Zoo

The award-winning Newquay Zoo is a great way to get close to all kinds of wildlife and enjoy a fantastic family day out. Roam open rainforests, lakeside gardens, and the African Savannah – as well as the new Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.

As well as hundreds of remarkable animals, Newquay Zoo also offers regular animal feeds and talks, as well as educational events and animal enrichment displays throughout the year. The Oriental Garden is a real treat for plant and nature lovers, as it boasts beautiful Japanese Maples and a newly refurbished design.

The school is a safe, inspiring place to try your hand at surfing no matter what your age or fitness level, and it’s great fun for the whole family. There’s also coasteering and body boarding to try your hand at, so click here to book your lesson. You can hire all the equipment you'll need once you get there, and hire times range from half a day to one week depending on your plans.

Buccaneer Bay

To discover the history of Cornwall through its fascinating stories and legends, Buccaneer Bay is the attraction to visit! See the past come back to life with lifelike figures, and sound and lighting effects throughout this unique museum.

Buccaneer Bay is an indoor attraction, making it a great place to come and explore on wet days during Newquay holidays. Come face to face with Cornish characters such as Merlin, Kind Arthur and smugglers – all under one roof. Buccaneer Bay is unsuitable for wheelchair users, as there are several sets of steps within this attraction.

Blue Reef Aquarium

Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium is an unforgettable day out for everyone. Not only is it home to many of Cornwall’s own marine species, visitors can also marvel at hundreds of tropical residents too!

The aquarium’s impressive ocean display includes a walk through tunnel for a stunning view of beautiful fish, and even a shark or two.

The Blue Reef Aquarium is open every day except for Christmas Day, and its 40 themed habitats include turtles, jellyfish and even pufferfish that are sure to delight all guests! A fab Newquay family attraction!

Holywell Bay Fun Park

Holywell Bay Fun Park is fantastic fun for the whole family. With free entry and free parking visitors, the park’s unique token system enables visitors to purchase tokens for the rides they wish to go on.

The many attractions to be found at Holywell Bay Fun Park include F1 Go Karts, Star Cars, Thunder Racing and an 18-hole Pitch n Putt! Blaster boats, a maze and arcades are also part of the family fun in this corner of Newquay! For those who fancy spending a whole day at Holywell - the diner, bar and ice cream parlour mean there is plenty to refresh the whole party during the visit!
