Dog Friendly Mumbles WalksA walk during a dog friendly Mumbles holiday is a must, what with the gorgeous scenery of Swansea Bay and the wide, open landscapes – it’s the perfect place to unwind with your pet. Rhossili Beach is dog friendly throughout the year, and it’s not only a beautiful stretch of sand with striking views but it’s also ideal for a walk with your dog. The best walks on the Gower Peninsula are those along the coast, simply because the views are unbelievable. There are dozens of trails to choose from, so it’s really just a question of which resorts you fancy exploring.

Dog Friendly Mumbles AttractionsAlthough Swansea Bay boasts more than its share of beaches, walks and wide open spaces, Oystermouth Castle is a great dog friendly Mumbles attraction too. The ruined castle looms over Swansea Bay, and the grounds are open throughout the year for walks. This historic castle dates back to Norman times and its grounds welcome dogs, although it’s guide dogs only inside the refurbished castle itself. Oystermouth Castle is a great vantage point for views of Swansea Bay too. Entry to the castle is £1 per adult and 80p for concessions. |

Dog Friendly Mumbles BeachesWith some of the finest beaches in Wales, Mumbles dog friendly beaches are spectacular! Let’s start with Rhossili Bay and its many titles, including the UK’s Number One Dog Friendly Beach according to The Times! The Independent hailed it as ‘the supermodel of British beaches’ and the Sunday Times confirmed it as one of the ‘25 Best Beaches in the World’...so there you go! Llangennith Beach in Bracelet Bay is also a dog friendly Mumbles beach, and it welcomes dogs all year round. This beach lies on Rhossili’s west-facing point, and is easier to access than the main Rhossili Beach. Llangennith Beach is a great one for surfing, and with good water quality it’s even welcoming if you’re not too keen on bathing in the sea. |
