Liskeard - Looe RailwayThe Liskeard – Looe railway has got to be the most scenic family attraction in Looe! Also known as the Looe Valley Line, this 9 mile stretch of railway passes through some great examples of the peaceful Cornish countryside. 2010 saw steam trains run along the line once more in celebration of the Great Western Railway, and it’s easy to imagine the days when the whistle of the steam trains and billows of steam would have pierced the peace and quiet as they chugged their way past. There are many walks and trails to pick up from the stations, and the Rail Ale Trail is a treat for those with an interest in the many suppliers of Real Ale on the line. |
