The market town of Knighton sprawls across the English – Welsh border, so guests of our luxury lodges can enjoy views across the Shropshire Hills in one direction and the infamous countryside of Wales in the other. Needless to say it’s quite a favourite with walkers, and two National Trails meet in the area so it’s a great base to start a hike from and enjoy the scenery. The town itself has the feeling of being largely untouched by time, and a day exploring will take you past historic buildings, sleepy churches and through streets so snug they’re affectionately known as ‘the narrows’.
