Description

Shiloh Cottage is a delightful countryside retreat set in the courtyard of a small farm. The property is tucked away in a rural location, yet only a mile from the Hamlet of Wootton on the Isle of Wight.

Shiloh Cottage is a reverse level house, designed to take advantage of the beautiful rural views. Internally, the property is furnished to a high standard, boasting a balcony off the living room showcasing the panoramic countryside views with glimpses of the Solent. Be sure to look out for the award winning Havenstreet Steam Train passing through the countryside, this can be seen from the first floor of Shiloh Cottage. Externally, the property offers a furnished patio, providing an idyllic place to relax with a book.

Shiloh Cottage enjoys immediate access onto walking trails that lead to Wootton Creek, where you will find a public house and restaurant. The trails also lead to the village of Havenstreet where you can board the steam train and enjoy traditional pub grub at the characterful White Hart.

For a range of amenities the hamlet of Wootton can be reached within a five minute drive, alternatively the popular seaside town of Ryde is a 10 minute drive away. Ryde is the largest town on the island and boasts miles of golden sandy beaches and an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and attractions. If visiting towards the end of summer, be sure to catch the carnival. The town holds the oldest carnival in the UK, when floats from all over the island come together to create the biggest, brightest spectacle of the year.

Shiloh Cottage

My husband, 22 year old daughter and I had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful cottage on the Isle of Wight. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you need. It is like home from home. It is cozy, warm and very comfortable. The views of the surrounding countryside, glimpses of the solent and the steam train passing through are lovely. The owners of the property live adjacent to the cottage and are very helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There are some lovely walks on the trails, which are directly accessible from the cottage. Ryde is a ten minute drive away but there is an excellent pub that serves good food, within easy walking distance from the property. I would highly recommend this luxury cottage for a wonderful, relaxing holiday on the Island. We will be returning.

First Class Holiday Experience

We recently booked one of your advertised cottages on The Isle of Wight. The accommodation was first class and all that we had hoped for. The owners lived very close by and welcomed us warmly and ensured throughout our week's stay that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The cottage was appointed to a very high standard and included everything that you might need, right down to the salt and pepper ! The weather was excellent throughout the week which ensured we could get out and explore as much of the island as possible, safe in the knowledge that we could return home each evening to our very comfortable accommodation. We intend to return next year and will certainly book via Blue Chip Holidays Kind regards

Shiloh Cottage

Came to this cottage at Easter, what a lovely holiday. The location was perfect for travelling round the Isle of Wight and what lovely views from most of the windows, especially the lounge. The kids loved the cottage and watching the sheep outside.

Shiloh Cottage

The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable, roomy and well equipped. It's in a wonderfully peaceful location - you do need a car. My family had a lovely holiday there.

Shiloh Cottage Isle of Wight

Shiloh cottage is a beautiful cottage set on farmland with excellent views of the countryside and The Solent in the distance. The cottage is ideally situated for touring the Island and there are many attractions within a 15 minute drive. The cottage is well furnished with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and also has televisions in all rooms. There is also WiFi available (but we did have problems, and were unable to get on-line most of the time) The property has its own tarmac drive and ample parking and also a lovely sitting area in the garden. We had a lovely holiday and we would not hesitate to return there again and would certainly recommend it to other people.

Peace and quiet

We three friends wanted a base to visit various places on the Isle of Wight including Osborne House and this was a lovely location right in the centre of all we wanted. Lovely comfortable accommodation.

Shiloh Cottage

Shiloh cottage is in a lovely peaceful location. The upstairs living room has beautiful views, and the house is well equipped and comfortable. Would have loved a dishwasher, but otherwise perfect! A great base for exploring the island. Thank you to Paula for a warm welcome.

Lovely cottage

We have spent a comfortable week in your lovely cottage, a good spot to re-explore all our favourite haunts on the island. The farm shop just down the road is well worth a visit.

Shiloh Cottage, a hidden gem!

We stayed at this lovely holiday home, nestled in the middle of the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside for two weeks with family. The house was beautifully clean and very comfortable; the views over to the Solent from the veranda were superb! It is in a great location for visiting other parts of the island and the owners were very approachable and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay; it was most relaxing and a pleasure to come home to after a day of exploring.

Holidays at Shiloh Cottage

We spent a wonderful Easter week in this beautiful, well equipped cottage. Apart from a power cut due to heavy storm we didn't miss a thing. We where five persons and a toddler and never had the feeling we stood on each others feet. Remarkable is the wonderful view to Portsmouth Harbour from the balcony of the house. We will surely come back to Shiloh if we go to the beautiful Isle of Wight.
