Description

Le Bel Vie is a stylish one bedroom annexe set in a tranquil three acres of land with paddocks and gardens. The property perfectly combines contemporary, high specification design with environmental sensitivity.

Internally the property is finished to a very high standard boasting solid oak flooring, a marble bathroom with walk in rainfall shower, starlight ceiling, and entertainment options including SKY TV, iPod docking station and Wi-Fi internet access. These luxurious surroundings consider the environment; Le Bel Vie has solar panels, under floor heating, LED lights and rain water harvesting.

Externally the property offers a private furnished patio and wall lined barbeque area. The patio benefits from stunning country views.

The perfect rural retreat

Rest and relaxation is inevitable, on-site there are three acres of land to explore including woods, a garden and paddocks. Horses are welcome and are well catered for, with lush grass to graze and storage for a trailer.

Camping can be enjoyed on-site - ideal for adventurous kids with mum and dad keeping watch from the comfort of Le Bel Vie.

During your stay you can sample some of the free range produce for breakfast or in your packed lunch, all can be arranged when at Le Bel Vie. The property is the perfect place to do as much or as little as you want, there is direct access onto many footpaths and bridlepaths and a range of concierge services available to truly get the most out of your stay.

Location

The property is located on the outskirts of Godshill, a quintessential English village. Godshill is characterised by its charming thatched cottages, delightful Medieval church and a winding main street lined with tearooms.

The village itself is host to many attractions including the Model Village and The Old Smithy, a former blacksmiths forge, which is now a tearoom, gift shop and fashion boutique. Contributing to the village's old-world charm are numerous shops offering local crafts and produce, such as ciders, pickles, mustards and biscuits. There is also a handful of traditional pubs including The Taveners, a true country pub and restaurant passionate about using local produce.

For a greater selection of amenities, Shanklin is only a five minute drive away. The town is famed for its good weather, safe sandy beach and the picturesque Old Village. The seafront is the focal point of the town with several eating establishments and pubs. In the summer months a small road train provides a service to the town centre and Old Village.

Le Bel Vie

Thank you Megs and Ray. We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The 'apartment' made a luxurious base for exploring the Island. We enjoyed lovely lunches at The Taverners in Godshill and the Garlic Farm (highly recommended) And Morrisons in Sandown was conveniently close for supplies.

A great holiday - just what we were looking for.

It's often hard to find all the information you're looking for when you have specific requirements when booking a holiday. In our case a holiday cottage has to help with accessibilty and reduced mobility. Blue Chip's website made the relevant facilities easy to find and the information and photographs made it easy to make the right choice with confidence. The choice of properties was good and the holiday itself excellent. Blue Chip did everything we could have asked of them and the cottage more than lived up to our expectations. The owners Mags & Ray were on hand and couldn't be more friendly and welcoming - but despite how close they were we had total freedom and privacy. The cottage and surroundings were beautiful and the location excellent. We would definitely stay there again in future.

Le Bel Vie

What a beautiful place to stay and explore the Isle of Wight. One week simply wasn't long enough. Daniel and Oliver adored the garden, adored Lana and kiko and adored you both Ray and Megs. We'll be back! Best love!

Wonderful Holiday - Le Bel Vie, Isle of Wight

We recently enjoyed an amazing holiday in the Isle of Wight through Blue Chip Holidays. The Blue Chip website was easy to use and we quickly found a suitable property for our summer holiday. The booking process was fast and easy to follow and we were kept informed throughout the booking with text confirmations and reminders. The property we chose was Le Bel Vie in the Isle of Wight and it really did exceed our expectations. The property had been maintained to a very high standard and included all the facilities you could need. It was spacious and luxurious and we absolutely loved our time there. The property owners were so welcoming and friendly and just round the corner if we needed them for anything. They were helpful with advice on places to go and visit / best beaches etc. The location of the property was ideal, lovely and quiet but with shops/supermarket within easy driving distance. Definitely 5*! I would highly recommend Le Bel Vie and Blue Chip Holidays to anyone.

Home from Home

Le Bel Vie does exactly what it says on the tin! From the greeting and 'show over' upon arrival to checkout, it is a superb holiday headquarters. Beautifully presented, it is obvious that a lot of thought and cost went into its design and choice of furniture and accessories. The wet room is superb, but two very small niggles would be the lack of a shaving mirror for gentlemen who still wet shave and the fact that the large mirror does mist up very quickly from the rainforest shower........but other than that, it is perfect.

Le Bel Vie

Myself and my husband spent a week at Le Bel Vie and was absolutely delighted with the whole experience; from the initial booking with Blue Chip Holidays, right down to our stay on the island. As I am disabled, the accommodation was extremely sufficient for all my needs, and the couple who own the property where very warm and welcoming, I would highly recommend booking with Blue Chip Holidays to all my family and friends and anyone who is thinking of booking a holiday that wants a 5* accommodation with a very reasonable price tag.

A lovely little annexe run by a delightful and very helpful couple. Very nicely equipped and extremely comfortable, the warm floors were much appreciated on a cold January day.

Le Bel Vie

Absolutely fantastic annexe, total luxury with all today's mod cons - like home from home and certainly provides R&R. Great location easy access to the whole island by car. Plenty of outdoors space to wear the little one out, though the weather was a little unpredictable. Had a lovely stay and Ray was nice and helpful. Would recommend.

Beautiful place!

We had a wonderful stay, Mags was really helpful and the place is gorgeous and really well equipped. The location is perfect; it's got a great "out in the wilds" feel but is really close to Ventnor and other towns. Would recommend highly!

Great Family Place to Stay........

What a great place - best place yet since we have been going to Isle of Wight. Facilities were great, accommodation spacious, comfortable & clean, wonderful surroundings. We wanted for nothing. Kids loved the freedom of our surroundings, and having chickens around, a pig in the near distance and two incredibly friendly and docile dogs (the dogs were easily contained if needed so don't let that put you of!!) Considering we are a NO PETS family it was marvellous. Looking forward to booking it again - as my son said just as we were leaving "dad, as soon as we get home can we book it again...?!! Have fun!!!!

Le Bel Vie

Le Bel Vie certainly lives up to its 5 star/gold rating. The property is furnished to a very high standard. We enjoyed our week''s stay, during which time we learnt how to use the electronic hob. As I mentioned at the time, it would be helpful if a user guide was available for guests not only for the hob, but for the microwave and the timer for the heating. However, help was immediately at hand in the form of the very friendly & welcoming owners who live next door. They provided when needed, a torch, a tin-opener and a halogen heater!!! The property is close to Newport (6 miles) and all other amenities. It offers a very comfortable environment to guests who like us, just want a restful time - relaxing in the conservatory was truly wonderful.

Le Bel Vie

Beautiful, quiet and clean five star accommodations. Provided us with entertainment with all the gadgets. Ray was great, was good to know he was just around the corner if we needed help, very comforting. Was a shame Mags was away. Will have to come back in the summer to meet her, plus being photographers summer here would be amazing.
