Description

Bay View is a bright, spacious and comfortable family home located in St Lawrence, an area recognised as An Area of Outstanding Natural beauty on the south coast of the Island. If curling up by a log fire whilst taking in glorious sea views or enjoying sundowners on the decking is your idea of a relaxing holiday, Bay View could be just the place for you.

When you step through the front door into the dining area, you’ll be wowed by the far reaching views of the English Channel. These fantastic views can also be appreciated in the light open plan living and kitchen area. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the breakfast bar while enjoying the panoramic views, or kick back in front of the TV, either way, this is the perfect space for unwinding. There are also two double bedrooms (one with sea views and en suite) on the ground floor and two twin rooms upstairs (both en suite).

When the sun is shining, you can step out into your private garden complete with a wrap around  deck and relax and soak up the sun. You can bring your meal outside, crack open a bottle of wine or even fire up the barbeque, it’s ideal for making the most of the warmer weather.

Bay View is set in a truly wonderful position for getting to know the Isle of Wight. For walkers, there are stunning coastal walks from your doorstep. There is a direct footpath from the house to Woody Bay where you’ll be able to take in even more of the breathtaking scenery. For a day at the beach, a meal out or a wander around the shops, the popular seaside town of Ventnor is just one mile away or closer still is Steephill Cove, a lovely sandy cove with superb fish restaurant and tea shop.

Wonderful Views

The view of the sea changes everyday and the sea and sky often blend into one to create a seamless vista, it is totally amazing and sorely missed now that we are back home in London. It was extremely hot weather so we needed to close all curtains and blinds during day to keep the heat out especially in the loft rooms. Loft room bathrooms have limited headroom so consider this when booking. Overall house is well equipped and has everything we needed including a great pantry. Post office nearby is very well stocked but we did feel in need of a pub that would be closer than Ventnor. Don't be afraid to do the coastal path in the day, it's a bit narrow and up and down but the views are worth it. We had a lovely week.
