Number 9 Victoria Avenue, Shanklin, Isle of Wight

A lovely apartment, furnished to a very high standard with excellent facilities and furnishings. The property is ideally situated - a great base to explore the Isle and set in the heart of Shanklin only a minute's walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs and a short stroll to Shanklin Chine. The owner of the property gave us a warm welcome and we would certainly recommend the property. A great rental apartment!

Return lived up to expectations

This was our second time at No 9 Victoria Avenue so we knew what to expect. Booking was straight forward and key collection arrangements pleasant and simple. The welcome pack at the property was great and the apartment lovely and clean. The shower improvements were appreciated and the local information was helpful. This is a great, spacious, centrally located apartment. We hope to return.

9, Victoria Avenue, Shanklin.

Very pleasantly surprised - apartment was bright, spacious, very clean and equipped to a high standard. There was plenty of room for the four of us. The landlady was very generous and thoughtful; there was a welcome pack provided without us asking and free of charge. There were also additional items for the girls to help the enjoy their stay (videos etc). Superb location, only a couple of hundred yards from the old town. We would have no hesitation in staying again.

Lovely property, excellent location.

Number 9 is much more spacious that it appears in the images online; the pictures don't do it justice. The master bedroom has a huge bed and the kids loved the beds in their room; they actually said goodbye to them when we left. They also liked the PlayStation. Being located so close to the centre of Shanklin you can walk everywhere in the town including the beach negating the need to find parking spaces which are in short supply. The owner met us to hand over the key and explain how the facilities worked (jacuzzi bath, heating etc) and a welcome package was included meaning we could have refreshments after our journey without going in search of milk which was much appreciated. We've stayed in Shanklin six times and have always been happy with the properties but we agree that this is the best property of them all.

Great Holiday

We had a brilliant holiday in Shanklin the property was really nice this is the second time we have stayed there and will probably book again. The booking was easy and making the payments was simple they just texted us to say when the payments were being taken, and messaged us with the key collection information . The property is very well situated for getting around. If all the properties that they rent out are up to the standard of 9 Victoria Avenue then we would certainly not hesitate to book any of them. All in all we had a great holiday and nothing to do with Blue Chip but the weather was lovely too!

Would recommend Number Nine Victoria Avenue.

Krystele made us feel extremely welcome at Number Nine. The apartment is lovely, clean and spacious and an ideal base to explore the island. Wonderful weather meant we could visit the places we intended - The Needles, Blackgang Chine and the beach at Sandown. There is a great choice of places to eat out - would recommend Helen's Bistro (a few minutes’ walk down toward the chine, with lovely views), the Chippy in the Old Village and Purple Mango Indian. We've enjoyed a few ice creams in Godshill too and would recommend Number Nine Victoria Avenue. Thank you.

We have had such a fabulous Easter break

We have had such a fabulous Easter break. The Isle of Wight is beautiful. We have 2 girls aged 4 and 6 and there is so much to see and do. Number Nine is perfectly located to wander around the beautiful Old Village and the beach walk is brilliant - gorgeous beach. Breakfast at the garlic farm was delicious and Ventnor Botanic gardens was a good morning out. Number Nine is beautifully kitted out and a perfect base to explore so many places. We are very sad to be leaving and hope to come back again for some more fun!

We've had a great week.

We've had a great week. This is our 6th time in Shanklin and we've agreed that this is the best place we've stayed in. We were made to feel very welcome and have enjoyed Blackgang Chine twice, Robin Hill, The Garlic Farm for lunch, the beach and a great cream tea at Vernon Cottage. Jasmine Indian takeaway is good as are the fish and Chips from the shop on the hill towards the Old Town. Italian restaurant Mama Mia does a great lunch time meal and doesn't downsize for kids so loads to eat. Model village pleasant and Chocolate Island in Godshill tasty. We will hopefully be back next year. Thank you.

Location

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION We had a warm welcome from Krystele and she was very helpful. This is the third time we have been with Blue Chip and have not been disappointed this time is no exception. The gorgeous apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It is absolutely perfect for a week (or more) as its on the doorstep of all the amenities Shanklin has to offer, jet it is tucked away in a quiet corner. Thank you Krystele for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic Easter break

9 Victoria Avenue provided us with a brilliant base for a fantastic Easter break in Shanklin. As a family of 4 with a 6 yr old and an 8 yr old we appreciated the great location - everything is walkable from the apartment. Krystele was lovely and even offered an early check in since no-one had stayed the week before and we were on an early ferry. Accommodation was warm, clean, stylish and spacious. Our son loved the added luxury of a PS3! A great choice for a couple of small family.

Little Gem in the heart of Shanklin

my first impression was one of surprise at just how spacious the apartment was, just before the kids charged off too explore. I loved the clean fresh feels and thank you Krystele for all the little extras when we arrived which made a real difference. The Sky, broadband and play station brightened up our one wet day. It really helps a vrey short walk to several supermarkets, playgrounds, park and beach, with lots of good places to eat/ takeaways. The two children were very sad to leave and now want to go back.
