Description

Shanklin Manor has been extensively renovated and restored to original glory whilst maintaining a beautiful and modern feel. The manor is situated in Luccombe, close to the picturesque Shanklin Old Village with thatched tea rooms, pubs and cafes, also Big Mead Park, but within easy walking distance to all the amenities of Shanklin town.

Apartment 9 is a split level first floor apartment. Internally, the apartment is open plan and is beautifully furnished throughout with traditional character features. Externally, the two and a half acres of communal grounds are available with access to the Big Mead, a large expanse of open parkland to the south of Shanklin Old Village.

Shanklin Old Village is a small part of Shanklin itself and contains some of the oldest dwellings, the majority of them thatched. It is on a slightly lower level than the town of Shanklin and is famous for its small gift shops and tea rooms.

A short drive is the main centre of Shanklin with the focal point being the pretty seafront. Here there are several eating establishments, pubs and local shops.

Apartment 9, Shanklin Manor

Fantastic place, can't believe how quiet it has been. Love the apartment. Very spacious and clean. Sky TV and Wifi would make it perfect, would recommend it to anyone and will be coming back again.

Apartment 9, Shanklin Manor

A beautifully decorated apartment and situated in such a lovely village. Although we have visited the island many times before, this is our first stay in Shanklin and it has been very enjoyable. The manor is set in the perfect place to explore the village. We can't wait to come again. Thank you very much.

Apartment 9, Shanklin Manor

Lovely, lovely apartment really well thought out. I will be recommending to all my friends. Robin Hill a must for families. We also had a very nice meal at "The village inn" in Shanklin. Fantastic week, felt so at home here and will definitely come again.

Apartment 9, Shanklin Manor

What a fantastic place: space, privacy and beautiful well thought out interiors and a great thigh street. We particularly liked "fine Nammet" but you will need to book. We are hoping to be back soon.

No 9 Shanklin Manor August 2014

A very spacious apartment, beautifully decorated. This is situated in a wonderful location in public parkland. The children really enjoyed feeding the ducks everyday. Ideally located in Shanklin old town, with the famous thatched pubs and tea rooms only a few minutes stroll away. Easy access (although very hilly) to the esplanade where you will find a pretty beach with arcades and mini golf for the kids. Overall a wonderful holiday, would love to come back again. Lovely but not practicable for toddler

The apartment is absolutely lovely, if we didn't have a newly walking one year old we wouldn't have been able to fault it. Some stair gates to put up would really have helped us out & found no door to the en suite bathroom a big problem. Wi-fi would have been nice too as we had no mobile phone signal for most of the week. But it's a gorgeous apartment with everything you need in a lovely location. Loved feeding the ducks every morning & walking into Shanklin.

Wonderful apartment

We had a fantastic stay in the very spacious and luxurious, Shanklin Manor. The flat is on two floors and seems more like a house, with wonderful views and easy access to the old village. It comes equipped with everything you could possibly need and feels more like a very tasteful home, rather than a rental. The only downfall was that we had to travel to Newport to pick up and drop off keys because the other residents in the building aren't keen on having a key safe on the property.

Wonderful apartment

We stayed at Shanklin Manor for one week. The apartment was superb - newly fitted with excellent facilities and attention to detail. It was clean and welcoming. We could easily have stayed another week! The only drawback was the key collection from Newport which was inconvenient. Apart from that I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
