Description

The Hayloft is an attractive stone period cottage (a former milking parlour) which is situated in the grounds of the main farmhouse and adjacent to several stables which are home to several rescued horses and donkeys. The Hayloft is located in the beautiful countryside, a mile from the village of Newchurch (located between Sandown and Newport) which is an ideal base for young families or walking enthusiasts or cyclists who wish to explore all areas of the island.

Internally, this traditional cottage offers a light and airy kitchen/dining area with French doors which open out to the front of the property, a modern family bathroom as well as a relaxed living area with stable barn door to the rear patio area. On the first floor you will find a double bedroom and twin room.

Outside, there is ample parking in a gated area to the front of the cottage and to the rear of the cottage there is a delightful secluded fenced garden with a patio area where guests can enjoy al fresco dining or a barbeque and children can play games.

Newchurch is home to the famous Garlic Farm and one of the oldest and historic pubs on the Island, The Pointers Inn, which offers award winning food and ales. Also nearby there is Amazon World and Robin Hill Adventure Park.

Lovely accommodation, lovely location

We stayed at the Hayloft and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The place was lovely, clean and had everything for a family. Lovely quiet location, nice walks nearby as well as the old railway line now a quiet mountain bike trail between Sandown and Newport. Great beaches right on the doorstep, Shanklin, Sandown and Freshwater and we also enjoyed horse riding in Bembridge as well as the Needles and Alum Bay. Would recommend the Hayloft, we will be coming back!

Excellent Experience

We recently booked our holiday through Blue Chip holidays to 'the Hayloft' near Sandown on the Isle of Wight and found it really easy to do from finding the perfect property to getting there, they even helped us with information for the ferries, all we can say is WOW ! what a fabulous holiday, we will definitely be booking through Blue Chip in the future.

Lovely stay at the Hayloft

We stayed at The Hayloft in Sept with our 2 year old daughter. It was a very enjoyable week and The Hayloft was a perfect base from which to explore the island. The Hayloft is very well equipped for your stay and caters for everything you could possibly need for your holiday. It is very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this place to friends and family and would stay there again if we were to visit the island again.

Hayloft

Our first family holiday to the Isle of Wight, was made perfect by our wonderful accommodation that was exactly as it looked in the pictures. The owners left us a lovely welcome package of drinks and a plate full of biscuits, which made us feel right at home. A fantastic holiday from start to finish, within easy location of everything.

Perfect

Everything was just perfect for our pre-Christmas break with our 18 month old. The Hayloft was cosy and comfortable and the owners have thought of pretty much everything you'd need. There was a travel cot, high chair and stairgate, which meant that we didn't need to pack so much. The cottage was decorated for Christmas, which was lovely for our daughter - she particularly liked the little clockwork house in the kitchen. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful holiday!

A lovely warm welcome with treats/drinks on the kitchen table. The house was very clean and comfortable. The beds were nice and the blackout blinds appreciated. You would definitely not be cold in winter with the amount of bedding you get! Jill the owner was lovely and bought chocs round for the boys. A nice selection of quality toiletries including sundae bath bombs! Set in wonderful countryside it was very quiet (apart from some mooing!). The kids loved the house and we were all sad to leave. The Isle of Wight is a wonderful holiday destination for any age with some lovely beaches and many good tourist attractions for children. Two weeks would have been better than one!
