Another great stay at Oak Barn

We always feel so at home. Everything you need is provided, all the cooking equipment, fresh eggs from the farm, milk, a bottle of wine and a homemade cake. There is a big, safe garden for the dogs. Good heating along with a log burner. You feel secluded, but 100 yards away there is a street with every small shop and take-away you could ever need. A total break from life, with the ferry trip adding something to the whole experience.

Fabulous Barn!

I recently stayed at Oak Barn for 1 week in May with my husband and two children aged 10 & 7. We had a brilliant time. Although the weather could have been better, it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves and getting out and about. We were greeted by the lovely owners Karen & Karl on arrival who gave us a very warm welcome. The barn is beautifully done out, very modern, light & airy and very well equipped. A nice bottle of wine, eggs, cake & milk were also there to greet us! The surroundings are very peaceful, the kids loved having a nice spacious back garden to run around in. We had several meals over the road at The Sloop Inn. A fantastic carvery, as much veg as you want and very reasonable prices. All in all a superb holiday location, surroundings & accommodation. Would definitely recommend. We hope to be back when the other barns that are currently being renovated are all finished. Gillian, Tony, Owen & Brooke - Newcastle upon Tyne.

What a fantastic place....

We have just come back from the IOW after a fantastic week at Oak Barn. Everything was perfect, the Barn, the goodies we received on arrival, the location and even the weather. Murphy our Border Terrier came with us, he had a blast playing in the garden all week. Karl and Karen even added extra security to the gate for us as he is a bit of an escape artist. Thank you for a lovely holiday. We will return!

Oak Barn, Fernhill Farm

We decided at the last minute to book a visit to the Isle of Wight and couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay. Oak Barn is beautifully converted and well-equipped. It has been a fantastic work and our 2nd year old has loved staying here in a "big bed" for the first time. Running around the garden and seeing the chickens. The warm welcome from Karen and Karl including the homemade cake, wine, milk and eggs were definitely appreciated. We'll recommend Oak Barn to family and friends and hope to return in the near future.

Oak Barn, Fernhill Farm

Accommodation brilliant, couldn't be better. Karl and Karen very friendly and helpful, just ask and they will do or sort it. Weather has been very hot. Had some good days out. The cake was delicious, eggs and wine were very nice. It was perfect for Harley the dog, nice space in garden. We'll certainly recommend Oak Barn to others and be back again ourselves. Thank you!

Excellent Accommodation at Oak Barn

From start to finish the owners Karen and Karl couldn't of been more attentive. Oak Barn has been very tastefully converted. The accommodation was so lovely and modern. The back garden was an amazing size, great for dogs and children to have a great time. Everything that you would need was supplied. A very thoughtful package was waiting for us, wine, eggs, home made cake and milk. We loved it so much that we couldn't even wait until we got home but booked online while we were there to stay over Christmas. It's so nice to have Wi-fi too. Short walk to local amenities and bus stops.

Oak Barn, Fernhill Farm

All three generations who have been staying in Oak Barn this week have loved all that it has to offer, form the comfort inside to the peaceful garden and its surroundings. It has been such a relief to return to Oak Barn to totally relax and cool down after days out on the island in this week's heatwave conditions. Karen and Karl's friendly welcome has been greatly appreciated, not to mention the delicious home made cake, eggs and other treats awaiting us on arrival. Thank you for everything and we look forward to a return visit very soon.

Oak barn is absolutely beautiful but also very practical which is really important when holidaying with a young family. Has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Oak Barn, Fernhill Farm

Having returned to Oak Barn for the second time we loved being here just as much as the first time. Karen, Karl and David were perfect hosts and made us so welcome. the standard of accommodation is excellent and location perfect. Although the weather wasn't as good as last year we still enjoyed island. The cottage us so cosy, especially the log fire burning in the evening. Roly the dog really made himself at home. P.S Thanks Karen for lovely cake 10/10, wine and eggs. Also thank you all for joining us for a glass of wine we enjoyed your company. - Gay, Martin, Barb and Dave and Roly the dog.

Oak Barn, Fernhill Farm

We have had the perfect weekend in the most perfect accommodation. The barn is a great place to stay as well as being in a great location. All amenities you would need are in very close proximity yet we still felt that we were far from everything - very peaceful. Dexter (my dog) enjoyed the outside space very much. Fantastic garden for him to run around, he has had a ball. We will definitely be recommending both barns to family and friends alike and would definitely come back to stay in the future. the fresh eggs, milk and the amazing cake was a great touch. Thank you.
