You’ll find Tapnell Farm near Freshwater, and it’s the kind of day out where you can eat great food, let the kids bounce on a giant bouncy pillow, say hello to animals and just have a fantastic time in the countryside with plenty to do.
If your kids have wanted to have a go at rock climbing for as long as you can remember then they’ll be able to try out the climbing wall, and there’s even the chance to zorb for anyone who fancies experiencing what it’s like to roll downhill in a giant ball.
You may spot (well you can’t fail to actually) the WightHerd during your visit, and if you look closely at this lifesize herd of colourful arty cows you’ll see that each one tells its own story. The indoor playground means that whatever the weather decides to do you’ll be able to sit back and watch the little ones have a great time for hours, as it includes zip wires, a bouldering wall, the Imagination Playground and the all-important straw-bale tunnels.
If your family’s anything like we are then we know that all the excitement will leave you thinking about food, and The Cow Co restaurant right on the farm serves up mouthwatering burgers, steaks and dishes created to showcase the flavours of the island…yum!
